The Bear

The Bear at The Point is Polzeath’s restaurant, offering sea views, a large terrace, and a proudly Cornish menu. From dayboat fish and chips to fresh seasonal dishes and plates for sharing, the focus is on simple, well-prepared food using quality local ingredients. Always open to non-members and walk-ins.

The Bear Bar

The Bear Bar at The Point is a relaxed, sociable space to meet, unwind and enjoy the view - ideal for a coffee, a drink after a round of golf, or settling in to watch the game. Inside, two large screens show a rolling schedule of live sport, from football and rugby to golf opens and tennis tournaments.

Weddings

Every wedding at The Point is shaped around you. Rather than fixed packages, we work with each couple to create a day that feels personal, from laid-back summer celebrations to more intimate gatherings. From drinks on the terrace to a full wedding breakfast and evening party, the pace and style of the day is entirely your own.

Private Hire

The Bear is available for private hire, offering a relaxed coastal setting for a range of gatherings and celebrations. Planning a birthday, family occasion or more informal get-together? Our spaces can be tailored to suit your plans, with food, drink and layout all shaped around your group.
