2018 Top things to do in Cornwall

We have hand picked a few of the events going on around us here at The Point. These are our favourite venues or annual events which we think are great day trips from The Point and reasons to come and stay. The list is by no means comprehensive, as there are festivals and activities every month around the county. We will update the list throughout the year with new events we think are within reach for a good day out with the family. Several dates are still to be confirmed – but it gives you a taster of what goes on.

If you have not already visited the spectacular Tate St Ives, this deserves a special mention. Not a calendar event, but definitely a day trip we highly recommend. The iconic gallery overlooking the Atlantic Ocean has permanent displays and visiting exhibitions. A four year building project completed last autumn (17) – has doubled the gallery space.

Walking the coast line is very popular when visiting Cornwall. We have mapped our our own Top 5 Walks, but if you want to venture further away using us as a base, you might find the IwalkCornwall website useful.
