COVID-19 Updates from The Point at Polzeath
In light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we will continue to update this page with information as the government make announcements in the coming days and weeks. Please refer to this for the latest up to date information from us here at The Point.
Last Updated: 10/12/21 – 10am
Please see below the updates/operational changes to individual facilities at The Point. Given the local and national rise in infection, and revised recommendations from the government we are now requiring visitors to The Point to wear face coverings throughout our buildings unless seated.
This is to ensure that we can continue to operate safely, and everyone visiting us, and our team, can continue to feel at ease prior to Christmas.
Changes to Food and Beverage Operations at Time of Writing:
There are currently no restrictions in place for eating and drinking at The Point. Please refer to our Restaurant and Bear Bar pages for menus and opening times.
We recommend that table enquiries are made for those wishing to visit us during busy times.
Although the bar/restaurant is exempt from the wearing of face masks we would kindly ask that members adopt wearing them when moving around or ordering at the bar and keep them on until seated in order to protect our team.
Changes to Golf Operations at the time of writing
The course is open to both Members and Non-Members as per the Governments guidelines. The golf reception is open 7:30am – 5pm daily.
Face masks must be worn when inside the clubhouse/changing rooms or golf reception.
Players must not visit the Club if they are feeling unwell, self-isolating, showing any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
All golf should still be pre-booked in advance.

We will continue to work alongside the guidance given by the government and will amend our policies in due course when it is safe to do so. Please see the government website for more information about the Corona Virus: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus
You can be assured that we are working around the clock liaising with the owners of our holiday homes to enable the best possible outcome for you and your family should you be affected by any Government announcement or COVID diagnosis. We represent a small group of property owners who have all been working with us agreeing to more flexible terms at this extraordinary time.
FAQs
I would like to book a holiday. Is this still possible?
All holidays will be subject to the government policies at the time of your stay as will rules upon household mixing. This extends to what facilities will be allowed to open during your stay. This guidance may change in the period between booking and arriving at The Point.
My holiday is already booked. Can I cancel?
Unfortunately, the deposit for your holiday is non-refundable in any circumstance. However, due to the current uncertainties surrounding Coronavirus, we have delayed your final balance payment to 6 weeks before arrival date (usually 12 weeks).
Once the final payment has been made the holiday cannot be cancelled but may be deferred upon proof of a positive COVID test. Disinclination to travel is not a valid reason for deferment.
If your booking is effected by a positive COVID test/self-isolation in the days prior to arrival, you may defer your holiday up to a year from your booking date and no amendment fee will be charged subject to the homeowners approval.
What will happen if the government imposes travel/local restrictions?
We will continue to work alongside government guidelines, so if tighter restrictions on the movement of people nationally are brought into place or extended to Cornwall your holiday will be cancelled. You can defer your stay for up to a year, but unfortunately, deposits will not be refunded.
Please see link to our Terms and Conditions here.

- Final balance payment date 6 weeks before arrival
- Your holiday can be deferred for up to a year (dates can be confirmed later, subject to availability)
