31st May 2020 in UncategorizedCourse Reopening Update Share Twitter FacebookLast Updated: 11/06/20 12pmUnder new government guidelines we are delighted to announce the following groupings will be permitted on the course effective from Monday 1st June 8am.Individuals (Those shielding should play on their own)Two, Three and Four Balls of any combination of household (No scorecard swapping and no sharing of equipment or buggies)Social distancing rules must be strictly observed at all times. Course patrols will be carried out to ensure social distancing is being adhered to.Players must not visit the Club if they are feeling unwell, self-isolating, showing any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Booking a Tee TimeThose wishing to play the course must have an active membership or pay a relevant green fee. Course patrols will ensure only fee-paying golfers are on course at all times. You may be asked to present a valid member bag tag or receipt by a member of staff.Those wishing to renew their memberships please pay via BACS as instructed in your renewal letters or over the phone.Golf Office Open 8am – 6pm: last tee booking 6pm*. Tee times bookable between these times at 10-minute intervals.*In order to accommodate Members who are working, we are happy for you to play after the last tee time but you must have registered with the office beforehand for track and trace reasons. There will be volunteer marshals out on the course so please do not abuse this privilege or trust.Member Tee Time BookingVisitor tee times must be booked in advance over the phone (01208 863000) or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). All players’ names and contact details will be required upon booking for contact tracing purposes.Competitive Golf – Please refer to our revised club diary page for all competition play and details here.No turn-up and play golf will be permitted. On ArrivalPlease arrive no earlier than 20 minutes prior to your tee time. Please arrive golf ready. Please change your golf shoes in the car park.Only the clubhouse loos and reception will be open. For the protection of our staff a maximum of 2 people are to enter the reception area at any one time to register your arrival.Commencement of all rounds must be from the 1st Tee. Do not join the course from any other point.Golf buggies will be available to hire for single-use or use within household groups and will be sanitised between each use. No hire clubs will be allowed for the foreseeable future. On Course and Practice FacilitiesAll bunkers are now in play however rakes have been removed.Hole cups will be inverted.All course furniture has been removed or covered wherever possible to minimise contact points.Please do not exchange scorecards.Please keep up with the pace of play.Please do not touch or remove flagsticks.See CONGU for the latest Rules of golf updates.Course patrols will be made regularly to ensure social distancing is being adhered to and no groups from multiple households are joining together.Please do not be offended if you are asked to present a valid member tag or receipt by a member of staff.The driving range will be open and is subject to social distancing. Please use the outdoor practice bays wherever possible. Sharing of practice balls will not be permitted.The Point at Polzeath reserves the right to amend or change these guidelines at short notice following any future advice released from either the UK government or golfs governing bodies.Most importantly enjoy your golf and the outdoor space that the course provides.
