Both the restaurant and Bear Bar enjoy beautiful views towards Polzeath and the sea beyond

You can enjoy anything from a cup of coffee, homemade cake, a delicious lunch, drinks or dinner on the terraces.

The Bear Bar is more informal showing sports all day. When the sun is shining there is nowhere better to enjoy your refreshment – out on the south-west facing or west-facing terraces. With the putting green, tennis courts and the boules court right next to the bar – there is plenty of opportunity for a bit of friendly competitive fun. Floor to ceiling sliding doors open up to the terraces outside making the room bright yet cosy. The bar is named after a very special bear, definitely worth a visit to come and see. Everyone is welcome.

The restaurant is upstairs on the first floor and has an even better view towards Hayle Bay and Pentire Point. With a west-facing aspect we love watching the sun set further and further west in the spring-summer until it finally sets over Newlands Island.

Our fantastic chef prides himself in producing great food, beautifully presented. Seafood if obviously an important part of the menu as we are right on the coast.

Floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors to the sheltered terrace makes the restaurant bright and sunny. A modern refurbished look – but nothing too fancy. We are very lucky to have some spectacular wildlife photography on display on our walls, along beautiful oil paintings by local artist Jethro Jackson.

Well behaved dogs are allowed in the restaurant and bar during the day, but for the consideration of other guests, we ask you to leave the dogs when you come to enjoy our dinner service.
