Bear Bar

With cosy sofa areas, comfy armchairs alongside bespoke tables, banquet seating and bar stools there is plenty of room for all to relax. Floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors highlight the amazing view of waves breaking on Newlands Island and Pentire Point. Cosy for the colder winter days and evenings, but at the same time allowing lots of light into the room.

Two large television screens show the sport of the day from Sky & BT Sports. A small bar menu is available with a few daily specials on the board.

The Bear Bar is named after a special friend, come and enjoy a pint with the bear.

My favourite get away in the UK
“We come to Polzeath every year. We always make sure we have a meal at the point. Whether breakfast lunch or dinner I have never been disappointed. Friendly staff, amazing view, great view. Welcoming to families. Could not recommend more highly.”

Lovely meal for a special occasion
“We were in Polzeath for a week holiday and were celebrating a 30th birthday in our group so chose to have a celebratory meal at the Point it was near where we were staying. It’s a lovely place, we were a group of 9 with a couple of young kids the service was fab, the view out over Polzeath and the sunset view was amazing and the food was lovely. Can’t fault the place, highly recommend.”

Delicious tasting food, at great prices, great views
“We have just spent some time in Polzeath, and had several meals at The Point Restaurant. Everything was freshly cooked, well presented, and tasted so good. Their fish chowder is one of those meals you want to go back and eat again and again. Staff very friendly. Good atmosphere.”

Fish and chips delight
“Cannot speak for anything else but the delightful fish and chips we had there one evening. I had mine in lemon batter which was divine and came with the best minty mushy peas I have ever tasted! Much better fish and chips than the famed Rick Steins in Padstow! We will be back!”
