A family friendly restaurant with beautiful views towards Polzeath and the sea beyond

Our food is made with locally sourced and seasonal produce. Our fantastic team pride themselves on producing great food, beautifully presented. Seafood is an important part of the menu as we are right on the coast. We will update this page with seasonal menus from time to time.

In addition to our normal menu, we have specials boards with our Chef’s recommendations each day. We do serve a “Little People Menu” for £8 only.

You can enjoy anything from a cup of Italian coffee, homemade cake, bacon baps, a delicious lunch, drinks or dinner on the sheltered terrace making the most of the beautiful views.

Floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors to the terrace makes the restaurant bright and sunny. A modern refurbished look – but nothing too fancy. The restaurant splits into 3 areas which makes it ideal for large parties. Please contact the team if you wish to enquire about booking a section for your group.

We are very lucky to have some spectacular wildlife photography on display on our walls, along with beautiful oil paintings by local artist Jethro Jackson.

SUNDAY ROAST – Every week from 12:00 – 15:30 – Choose from a selection of roasted meats and vegetarian options or combine your visit with our popular Swim and 2 Course Roast for £17pp.

Food is available in the bar all-day each day of the week.

PLEASE NOTE – The Restaurant will re-open again for the February half-term from Friday 14th February. Our menu will feature some firm favourites as well as come Alpine inspired dishes being served on our specials board.

Book a table

Well behaved DRY dogs are allowed in the restaurant/Bear Bar during the day, but for the consideration of other guests, we ask you to leave the dogs when you come to enjoy our dinner service.

We highly recommend booking a table, especially in the busier holiday seasons.

What people are saying

Delightful summer lunch - extremely impressed
We recently had lunch at The Point at Polzeath and were so impressed! They had a set menu for either 2 or 3 courses, both very reasonably priced. It was a beautiful day and we were able to secure a table outside with fabulous views across to Polzeath. The staff were really friendly and attentive, but unobtrusive. As it was Sunday, I chose the ‘Fillet of beef’ summer roast. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a ‘summer roast’, but it was absolutely delicious…”

My favourite get away in the UK
“We come to Polzeath every year. We always make sure we have a meal at the point. Whether breakfast lunch or dinner I have never been disappointed. Friendly staff, amazing view, great view. Welcoming to families. Could not recommend more highly.”

Delicious tasting food, at great prices, great views
“We have just spent some time in Polzeath, and had several meals at The Point Restaurant. Everything was freshly cooked, well presented, and tasted so good. Their fish chowder is one of those meals you want to go back and eat again and again. Staff very friendly. Good atmosphere.”

Fish and chips delight
“Cannot speak for anything else but the delightful fish and chips we had there one evening. I had mine in lemon batter which was divine and came with the best minty mushy peas I have ever tasted! Much better fish and chips than the famed Rick Steins in Padstow! We will be back!”
