Golf Located just above the Camel Estuary 5 miles from Wadebridge and 2 miles from Rock/St Enodoc, The Point at Polzeath is an 18 hole golf course with spectacular views out to sea. ENGLAND GOLF GolfMark “Club of the Year” 2017 winner: We are hugely honoured to have won this prestigious award. It is a tribute to all the hard work of our team, especially Libby Lehan and Tom Collings. We would like to thank England Golf, the Cornwall Golf Union and GolfMark for all their support over the last 5 years. We look forward to the next 5 years with great anticipation. Set in 230 acres of parkland, the course was designed to take full advantage of the stunning views of Pentire Point, Newlands Island and Polzeath Beach. Since new owners took over in March 12, the course has undergone a major revamp and investment programme and is now an emerging gem. The course is a real challenge for golfers of all standards and plays just short of 6300 yards off the back tees. As a result of the investment, the greens are now considered to be among the best in the county and the presentation of the course is hard to fault. Most holes have seen significant changes with improvement to fairway definition, bunkers, tees and greens. You can keep track of our progress by looking at our Green keepers blog in the News section. We were awarded the Cornwall Golf Mark Club of the Year 2015 award (in January 2016), an achievement we hugely proud of. This is the result of 4 years of hard work from a great team including the office and the green keepers. The Point welcomes visitors and societies, and we have a thriving membership base benefitting from flexible membership options. With all the improvements the course is getting very busy, please call to book your tee time. We have a new 4 bay under cover driving range, with a further 6 outdoor tees. Tokens can be purchased from the office. We also have a small practise putting green and a chipping area. After your game of golf – you can relax in our fabulous restaurant and enjoy the views over the 9th and 18th with the sea in the distance. Have a snack or enjoy a full meal. We have 10 buggies available to hire. We recommend booking in advance. DOGS WELCOME! Well behaved dogs are welcome on the course and in the restaurant in the day time. 2018 Golf Office Opening Hours to Saturday 10th February: 8am – 4pm from Saturday 10th February: 8am – 5pm from Saturday 24th March: 8am – 6pm If you are visiting the county and looking for courses to play, we can highly recommend St Enodoc Golf Course only 2 miles away and Trevose Golf and Country Club a 30 minute drive away, both wonderful Championship Links courses. We are more than happy to facilitate a tee time for our resident guests.
