Proudly at the helm of The Point, Tom is our Managing Director, bringing surveying expertise, a RICS qualification and years of experience managing holiday home portfolios. Since launching The Point Holidays in 2022, he has helped shape our collection and build strong owner relationships. An all-round sports fan, Tom’s often found on the padel courts, fairways or rugby pitch - or enjoying a well-earned pint at The Bear.
Matt Edgar-Lehan
Operations Manager
Matt’s the one who makes sure everything runs as it should at The Point. Having joined in 2016, he’s worked across almost every corner of the business. Now our Operations Manager, he looks after systems, processes and problem-solving behind the scenes. Padstow born and raised, Matt now lives locally with Libby, their son Archie and Monty the dog - and can usually be found seeking out a sunny beer garden.
Kirsten A'Court
Accounts Executive
Originally from Jersey, Kirsten is now our Accounts Executive after switching island life for Cornwall, bringing years of bookkeeping experience and AATQB status with her. Based in head office, she looks after the day-to-day finances, from supplier invoices and payment runs to keeping our records accurate and organised. Away from the numbers, Kirsten is surfing, walking the coast, renovating her home and planning a wedding.
Bethany Walton
Marketing Manager
Swapping the south for the north coast, Beth arrived at The Point in 2025 with a degree in Media and Communications and four years’ experience in luxury self-catering. Now leading the brand refresh, she’s putting her organisational skills and eye for detail to work across both websites, blog posts and weekly newsletters. Out of office, Beth’s on the beach or walking the South West Coast Path with her rescue dog, Willa.
Lucy Dunkley
Marketing Executive
Lucy looks after our social media, press and photoshoots, bringing creativity, confidence and industry know-how to The Point’s marketing. With a degree in Fashion Management and Communication, she began in fashion before moving into marketing, using her understanding of trends to keep our storytelling fresh. Now settled in Newquay, Lucy spends her free time surfing and seeking out great coffee.
Libby Edgar-Lehan
Golf Manager
Part of the club since 2009, back in its Roserrow days, Libby first joined the Golf Shop while studying Business Management at university. Now our Golf Manager, she looks after members and visiting guests with exceptional knowledge, care and attention to detail, keeping the golf diary perfectly organised. After work, Libby’s happiest with Matt and their son Archie, planning the next ski trip or beach holiday.
Wayne Liggat
Golf Development Manager
Overseeing golf operations and development across The Point, Wayne joined the team in 2024 with almost 30 years’ industry experience behind him. With a sharp eye for detail and a genuine love of the game, he helps shape everything from competitions and opens to member communication. Away from the fairways, Wayne’s happiest exploring Cornwall with his partner, their children and Isla the labrador.
Phil Brookes
PGA Professional
One of The Point’s longest-standing team members, Phil Brookes has been our PGA Professional since 2014, offering coaching and support to members of all abilities. A true family man, Phil brings a calm, kind and encouraging approach to his teaching, helping beginners and experienced players refine their game and grow in confidence. He’s often in the Golf Shop too - unless he’s coaching somewhere sunnier.
James Goodchild
Golf Office Assistant
Experienced in retail and a keen golfer, James switched things up to join The Point in 2022. Working in the Golf Shop, he’s on hand to help with booking tee times, buggy hire and equipment advice, bringing a laid-back manner and plenty of knowledge to every conversation. Outside of his working hours, it’s golf, cinema and writing his book that keeps James busy.
Tom Collings
Head Greenkeeper
It wouldn’t be The Point without Tom Collings, who has been Head Greenkeeper here since 2009 when the club was still Roserrow. With 30 years’ experience, including time at Lostwithiel and Trevose, Tom oversees the golf course and surrounding estate with unrivalled knowledge, hard work and good humour. Off the course, he enjoys family time, watching football or playing golf(ish).
Darren Livett
Deputy Head Greenkeeper
Darren joined The Point in 2020, working alongside Tom to keep the course looking its best. With years of sportsturf experience across golf courses, rugby and cricket grounds, he turns his hand to everything from machinery maintenance to winter construction projects. A rugby coach at Wadebridge Camels and family man, Darren is rarely seen without his very own deputy, Rip the black lab.
Josh Taylor
Greenkeeper
With 10 years at The Point behind him, Josh is one of our Greenkeepers, helping to maintain and present the course each day for members and guests. Often here from sunrise, he works closely with the team to keep standards high across the course. Cornish born and raised, Josh loves time with his family, walking the dogs to a good pub, or playing cricket for Lanhydrock.
Ben Hurst
Greenkeeper
Ben joined The Point as a Greenkeeper in 2017, helping to maintain and present the course throughout the year. From everyday course preparation to autumn and winter aeration, he also gets stuck into construction projects across the course. Originally from Wadebridge and now living in St Teath, Ben’s often found playing football, cricket or golf or walking his springer spaniel.
Toby Trudgian
Greenkeeper
After years of playing golf, Toby swapped estate agency in London for greenkeeping in Cornwall, joining The Point full-time in 2014. With no two days the same, he helps with course set-up, bunker raking, divoting tees and maintaining the holiday let gardens. Purdey, his springer spaniel, is often on duty too - usually before a well-earned run on Rock Beach.
Sam Polatajko
Greenkeeper
Part of the greenkeeping team since 2016, Sam helps maintain our greens, tees, fairways and wider course areas with skill and attention to detail. With a background in horticulture and grounds maintenance, he brings plenty of knowledge to the course. Originally from the West Midlands, Sam now calls Cornwall home, where he’s often skateboarding, playing guitar or enjoying live music.
Luke Hatfield
Assistant Greenkeeper
Luke helps with course set-up, bunker raking, divots and maintenance across the wider estate. Before joining The Point, his career took him from asset management and professional poker to scuba diving in Thailand, smallholding life and renovating a 54ft sailing yacht. Practical, analytical and always ready to get stuck in, Luke now helps keep the course, eco-cabins and grounds looking their best.
Alex Williams
Assistant Greenkeeper
Alex first started helping the greenkeeping team during the school holidays in 2016 and now joins us one day a week. From mowing and weeding to lending a hand at golf opens, he brings humour, strength and a real love of the game to the team. Originally from Cheshire but now living in Polzeath with his family, Alex is happiest out on the course – especially with a club in hand.
Dave Flide
Head of Food & Beverage
As Head of Food & Beverage, Dave oversees the day-to-day running of The Bear, bringing with him years of experience owning and managing restaurants from across the water in Padstow. With local connections and a strong understanding of North Cornwall’s foodie scene, Dave’s spare time is spent on the boat, fishing or watching the waves with a pint of Guinness in hand.
Kate Rutherford
Bar & Events Manager
Our resident Mackem lass, Kate leads our front of house team. Since joining The Point in 2021, she has become a familiar face to members, guests and regulars, bringing experience from behind the bar, a Marriott Hotels internship in Texas and her WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines. From everyday service to weddings, parties and celebrations, Kate makes sure everyone is well looked after.
Elly-May Briskham
Bar Supervisor
Always tanned, always smiling and always delivering excellent customer service, Elly-May is one of the friendly faces you’ll often see front of house. Having worked in guest services, beauty and even run a cocktail bar, she brings warmth, confidence and plenty of personality to every shift. Elly-May also loves time with her close-knit family and holidays whenever she can.
Amelie O'Donnell
Front of House
Cornish born and bred, Amelie helps look after The Bear and The Bear Bar. From taking bookings to serving guests and setting up for the next service, she does everything with care and attention to detail. Known for the best latte art in the team, Amelie is happiest close to home - sea swimming, running, heading to the gym or enjoying drinks with friends and family.
Phil Wilson
Head Chef
Raised in Padstow, Phil’s passion for cooking started early. After training in some of Padstow’s finest restaurants, he went on to travel before opening his own bistro in Wadebridge. Today, as Head Chef at The Bear, Phil creates our exceptional seasonal menus while guiding the next generation of young chefs in his kitchen. Away from the pass, he’s often trying to beat his record on the rower or enjoying beach barbeques with his wife and daughters.
Jon Monk
Sous Chef
Jon joined The Point in 2026 as Sous Chef, bringing years of experience from busy kitchens and golf clubs. Since swapping Enfield for Port Isaac, he’s been enjoying life in Cornwall and cooking with the best of the county’s seasonal produce, from fresh fish to comforting, crowd-pleasing dishes. Alongside his love of food, Jon enjoys playing golf, picking up his guitar and watching just about any sport going.
Jill Stevens
Chef de Partie
Cornish through and through, Jill joined The Point as Chef de Partie in 2021 and has been keeping the kitchen smiling ever since. Exceptionally funny, quick-witted and always full of character, she’s often found making our much-loved sausage rolls, cakes and cooked breakfasts during service. When she’s not keeping the boys in the kitchen in check, Jill enjoys a well-earned cup of tea, spending time with her grandsons, or relaxing at home with her dog.
Chris Shearer
Chef de Partie
Since escaping the business of London, Chris is now balancing his life as a Chef De Partie alongside settling into life in Cornwall. He first stepped into the kitchen as a KP and has since worked his way up, learning under Head Chef Phil’s guidance and building his confidence across preparation, plating and service. Away from the kitchen, Chris is usually taking care of his motorbike or planning his next gig.
Shaun Shearer
Junior Sous
Having climbed the ranks in kitchens across Cornwall and as far afield as Australia, including Rick Stein’s and Aria Restaurant, Shaun is one of our talented chefs. Always happy when cooking, he loves to learn and works the pass with attention to detail and a laid-back approach. Brother to Chris, Shaun left the bustling city for life on the coast - albeit picking up the speed on his motorbike.
Gary Dick
Health Club Development Manager
Gary joined The Point in 2022, bringing fresh energy, experience and ambition to the Health Club. With years of knowledge from running his own gym, he has played a key role in shaping the club’s fitness offering, from a more varied timetable to events, personal training and a dynamic team. You’ll often find Gary coaching clients in the gym - or taking a well-earned coffee break in The Bear.
Katie Oliver
Health Club Supervisor
Although Katie can rarely sit still for long, you’ll often find her welcoming members and guests at the Health Club front desk. With a diploma in Sport Management, she’s always happy to help with memberships, class recommendations or fitness advice. Between shifts, Katie’s at hockey practice, training for her next long-distance race, or encouraging the team with one of her staff fitness classes.
Steph Martin
Health Club Assistant & PT
Steph has been part of The Point since 2013. As a Personal Trainer, gym and class instructor, she supports members, guests and PT clients with everything from classes to fitness advice. A former civilian PTI for the US Navy and former county runner with two Elite starts at the London Marathon, Steph lives and loves an active lifestyle – from road cycling and sailing to her next hyrox challenge.
Rachel Hicks
Health Club Assistant
On her days off from rugby training - having recently secured a historic Twickenham victory with Cornwall Women - Rachel is our pocket rocket in the Health Club. With experience as a beach lifeguard, first aid training and a Level 3 BTEC in Sport, she’s ready to welcome everyone with excellent advice and a contagious sunny outlook. A proud Cornish girl, she loves a sea swim and finding hidden beaches.
Rémi Martin

Having grown up in an active household as Steph’s daughter, Rémi joined The Point in 2020 and is one of the friendly faces in our Health Club. From welcoming members and guests to handling enquiries, payments and day-to-day admin, she helps keep everything on track. After work, Rémi’s getting creative designing and making clothes, painting and modelling.

Our Pilates enthusiast and all-round ray of sunshine, Emily is often found on Health Club reception or helping out across the gym, pool and studio. With a wealth of fitness knowledge, qualifications and positivity, she’s always happy to make members and guests feel welcome - whether that’s through an induction, 1-2-1 Pilates tuition, training advice or even your next audiobook recommendation.
Jess Chilcott

With years of experience in the local self-catering sector, Jess knows what makes a great holiday home. Since 2022, she has led The Point Holidays team, helping grow our portfolio while making sure owners feel supported and guests are well looked after. Calm, confident and exceptionally knowledgeable, Jess keeps everything running smoothly - before heading back to Bodmin Moor with her horses to train for her next eventing competition.

Property Portfolio and Relationship Manager
Having grown up in Newquay and worked in Padstow, Ellie brings plenty of local knowledge and calm confidence to The Point Holidays team. Working closely with Jess and our property owners, she helps manage our portfolio, build strong relationships and keep everything on track. A lover of holidays herself, Ellie is always chasing the sun - with Barbados next on her list.
Wendy Shinner
Owner and Guest Relations
A valued part of The Point Holidays team since 2022, Wendy is loved for her warm personality, endless enthusiasm and outstanding customer care. With strong knowledge of North Cornwall, she’s often the first friendly voice for new enquiries, helping guests and owners feel in safe hands. When she’s not arranging holidays, Wendy can be found ringing bells at her local church or exploring the coast path.
Jemma Hoskin
Property Services Coordinator
Bringing 25 years of experience in the local holiday home sector, Jemma’s knowledge is second to none. With four years at The Point Holidays behind her, our Property Services Coordinator keeps the maintenance team in check while carefully organising the upkeep of our holiday homes and keyholding properties. A keen swimmer and mum of one, Jemma is kept just as busy outside of work as she is at her desk.
Claire Screech
Housekeeping Coordinator
Claire helps make sure our holiday homes are beautifully clean and guest-ready. Having joined The Point 10 years ago as a housekeeper, she now manages changeovers, rotas and cleaning schedules. Hard-working and charismatic, Claire keeps everyone’s spirits up before heading home to her three sons, where camping, scouting and gardening are always on the agenda.
Mike Smith
Maintenance
With Royal Navy, aerospace engineering and electrical qualifications behind him, Mike brings a wealth of practical knowledge to The Point. Working across our holiday properties, Golf Club and Health Club, he helps keep everything ticking along, from priority repairs to long-term projects and fault finding. Now living in Port Isaac, Mike is always cracking jokes and enjoys surfing, canoeing and Stephen King novels.
Dean Screech
Maintenance
Part of The Point for 13 years, Dean is one of the familiar faces in our maintenance team. A qualified plumber and former self-employed bathroom and kitchen fitter, he turns his hand to everything from clubhouse presentation to property callouts and repairs. Dean then spends his spare time with his three sons, leading a local Scout group, and seeking out the best gluten-free bakeries.
James Richards

Richie is part of our maintenance team, helping to look after our collection of holiday properties. With more than 18 years’ experience as a flooring fitter, he joined The Point in 2022 and now turns his hand to everything from painting and plumbing to electrical repairs and grounds maintenance. A proud Cornishman, Richie is happiest outdoors - whether he’s playing golf or exploring the coast with his family.
Mike Jenkins
Maintenance
With a background in property rentals and maintenance, Mike helps check and look after our holiday homes across North Cornwall. Having visited Polzeath all his life, he brings a practical eye and plenty of local knowledge to the team. From Rock and Daymer Bay to Port Gaverne and the Camel Estuary, Mike knows the beaches, walks and waters that make this part of Cornwall so special.
Sue Dickons
Housekeeper and Front of House
A confident all-rounder with plenty of personality, Sue helps keep us entertained across front of house, housekeeping and the Health Club. Swapping Skegness for Wadebridge, she joined The Point after 28 years working twilight shifts in retail, making this her first day job. Sue’s free time is usually spent walking, paddleboarding, keeping fit or spending time with Yogi the dog.

Paige helps make sure our spaces are clean, comfortable and guest-ready. With previous housekeeping experience and eight years as a healthcare assistant, she brings care and patience to every changeover. Now living in Wadebridge with her partner Alex and their children, Paige loves family time and paddleboarding at Rock Beach.

Amber has been part of our Housekeeping team since 2022, bringing six years of cleaning experience and a real pride in keeping our spaces beautifully presented. From the clubhouse to our holiday homes, she helps make sure everything is spotless and welcoming. Originally from Padstow, Amber loves beach walks and time with her children.
Natalie Buse
Head Gardener
Taking care of our Koto site with exceptional know-how and infectious positivity, Natalie helps keep the grounds looking beautiful throughout the seasons. From planting and borders to site presentation, she brings care and attention to detail to every corner. Outside of The Point, Natalie rarely sits still, with her family’s dairy farm, two daughters and three cats keeping her busy.
